Arg

I've been horrible, I know.
But I'm leaving for San Diego, so whatever.
If you haven't seen The Prestige, go see it. Pay attention. It's twisty, but very good.

I knew it!

I was waiting for something else to break.
The windshield wiper fluid resivoir thing in my car kinda fell off. I went to go refill it... and there it was... just held by some stupid little peg and some wires, all nicely eaten up by my fanbelt. Right now its held in place by duct tape. Which I'm hoping will hold it for a while.

Going to Schucks to see if i can get a replacement.

Arg. I haven't died. Yet.

I know... but shit has happened... I have an excuse! Really.
1) Bitches who do NOT know how to drive fucking roundabouts. She ran into ME. She is now claiming it's my bloody fault. This was more than a week ago and I'm still trying to get someone to look at the fucking vehicles.
2) Paper's. Lots of 'em. Evil papers. They make me write them. And rewrite them for no apparent reason other than the class talked about dialouge or whatever. Boooooring class too.
3) My BF broked my computer. Not in a SERIOUS way but Media Player, Media Player Classic, and Zoom Player have all gone belly up. After about three hours of removing crap that was everywhere, and reinstalling WMP, it's still broked. Currently I'm looking at reformatting, which is going to suck. If it turns out it's the media filed that are frakked I'm gonna be pissed. I have all five seasons of Justice League Unlimited that I *need* to watch.
4) My cell phone went belly up too. I just got my new one, and still need to get all the stuff that's not on my SIM transferred, which is gonna cost monies. It's mostly useless pictures, but some of them are from recent car damage and I kinda need them. It will also be hard to get a new pic of Fluffy, since I don't live with that roomate anymore. Fluffy was his snake, she was fat. Also, I need my Imperial March ringtone, which is not availible anymore. Grr.

Other than that nothing much... I have a few movie posts to do, which I will get around to eventually. I swears.

I'm still waiting for something else to break.

Shiny

I should point out that I have no intentions of getting a PS3 for a good long while, after the price has gotten out of 'wtf?' range. I didn't really have any intention of getting a PS3 at all, I do like the games, it's a fun system, but I'm happy with my little GameCube. Therefore I wasn't really paying attention to the system at all, slacker that I am.
Then I saw the trailer for White Knight Story.
It made me go *ooooh shiny*
None of the other damn trailers are working at this point, at least for me, but if ALL the graphics are anything like the above, I may have to deviate from the path of Nintendo.

Too amuzing to ignore.

Found this courtesy of the Penny Arcade forums...
Too White and Nerdy.
There was an earlier incarnation of this on youtube, then the RIAA freaked and brought it down, then Weird Al posted it himself.
Which makes him very cool in my opinion...

Anyways- the references in this are hilarious.
And if you get very many of them, you're pretty much a nerd.

Deal with it.

I'll Gut Ye

Before I forget, today is Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Which in my opinion is fairly stupid, but pirates are awesome.

Why, you ask, are Pirates awesome?
Besides the treasure, and swords, and parrots?
Well... forget the shit Disney pumped into you. A Pirate Captain's word wasn't law. Pirates ran a Democracy before the U.S. did, and elected all captains and officers. Even then, a captain was no more than a commander in battle, deciding tactics and strategy. All major decisions (headings, ports, who to attack) were made by the crew, by vote, and if the crew wasn't happy with the captain, they would choose another.
They also had their own laws, which, depending on the ship, prohibited theft, rape, murder of fellow crewmen, excessive drunkeness, etc. Punishment ranged from lashing to marooning, depending on the crime.
Spoils were divided up evenly among the crew, and the captain's was usually 1 1/2 t0 2 times the crew. Officers were in between. Ship's boys were half or quarter.
Worker's comp. Not kidding. If you lost a leg or arm or eye or finger, or anything else important, you would be compensated, quite nicely, with enough to get you by for quite a while, especially if it was something that kept you from sailing again.
Don't believe me? Under the Black Flag is highly entertaining, and educational even.

I've had 'The Pirate King' stuck in my head ALL DAY.

And it is it is a glorious thing
To be a Pirate King...

School again? I just went yesterday...

Ah yes... after taking the summer off (finaid wouldn't cover it even if I absolutly had my heart set on going. Which I didn't.) and working lots I now get to go back to school, do school work, and still work lots.
Whee.
But one more semester after this (in which I will be getting my welding cert, thankyou very much) and I will officially have an AA. Which amounts to nothing but then I will be going to a real school. (The welding is for money. And fun. Cuz playing with molten metal is freaking cool.)
Unfortunatley, this semester, I have school every damn weekday, which means real days off are going to be hard to get. Grrr.

For once all my prof's beleived in cheap books, so that was nice.
Gonna go do my reading now.
